Full time
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team at Carnarvon Growers Association. As one of the region's leading employers, CGA is also the peak industry association for horticultural producers in the Gascoyne region. We are looking for a visionary leader to steer the Association through the coming years. The successful candidate will be joining a team that enjoys a close working relationship with member growers, suppliers and each other.
About CGA:
CGA is the central hub for growers in the Carnarvon District supporting the sustainable production of high-quality fresh food. With a long history stretching back to the 1950s, we are a local not-for-profit organisation with strong roots in the local community.
Our vision is to build on our position as the leading supplier of products for member growers and to be a driving force for innovation and change in horticultural practices. Situated on the fertile delta of the Gascoyne River, our members represent a wide variety of produce lines, farming practices and cultural backgrounds who all share the common goal of a sustainable livelihood based on a profitable local industry.
About the role:
We are seeking an Operations Manager who will report directly to the Committee of Management and take on responsibility for leading all CGA staff to provide first-class service to retail customers and members alike. The successful candidate will build on CGA's leadership role in the Carnarvon Horticultural District and manage all aspects of business operations in line with strategic and operational plans. The ideal applicant will also have experience with office management, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, BAS reporting, inventory management and data entry, but will also be dynamic and approachable. You will be professional and confident while treating members, customers and other employees with honesty and integrity.
Why choose to apply with CGA:
We offer flexible working arrangements and competitive remuneration. Housing and relocation on offer for the right candidate.
