About this Opportunity
Based out of Port Augusta, the Podiatrist works as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering culturally safe podiatry services to outback South Australia. The service includes support in preventing, diagnosing, and treating medical and surgical conditions of the feet, including bone and joint disorders, muscular pathologies, and neurological and circulatory diseases. The Podiatrist will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of health services, appropriate to the needs of the local community and utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment / therapy, and evaluation approaches, with a specific focus on treating patients with or at risk of chronic disease.
About You
An AHPRA registered Podiatrist, with extensive clinical experience as a Level 2 Podiatrist, you have demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current Podiatry practice. You are strongly committed to providing an evidence-based service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, and appropriate referral. You have a sound knowledge of social determinants of rural and remote health. Excellent communication skills, high level clinical documentation skills, and a desire to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team are essential.
