It is empathy in action, trained medical professionals and practitioners providing the latest forms of ketamine-assisted therapies for chronic pain management and retractable mental health conditions.How you can help and what we can accomplish togetherAs a key member of SABI's clinical team, you'll be responsible for providing mental health and chronic pain nursing care to the guests of our healing centre. This requires thorough knowledge of primary and secondary care within the scope of BCCNM. Areas of practice include assessing mental health issues, administering medication, providing community resources, monitoring guests, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team.Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesPatient mental health and medical assessment and treatment, along with the review of medicationsTriaging acute concerns and providing anticipatory guidance as neededDevelop, assess, implement and evaluate care plans for all consultationsAbility to provide quality, safe and compassionate care to all guestsCommunication and collaboration with all members of the interdisciplinary teamFollow up on medical collateral if neededDose, administer and monitor ketamine treatments (training provided)Order, properly store and log ketamine in accordance with the Schedule I Controlled Drugs and Substance Act of CanadaProvide informed consent to clients receiving treatmentMonitor clients, including but not limited to taking vitals and managing potential side effectsUphold HIA laws, maintain guest files and confidentialityParticipate in ongoing internal and external training and continuing education initiativesParticipate in weekly meetingsContribute to company projects during clinic downtimeParticipate in the onboarding of new team membersLet's Talk About YouNP Certification and License in good standingActive registration and practice permit with the British Columbia College of Nurses & MidwivesCurrent BCLS-HCPCurrent ACLSTherapsil training is an assetClinical experience in a semi-independent practice role in the care of mental health and chronic pain guestsStrong knowledge of current guidelines, standards of practice and medical directivesAbility to demonstrate proactive and preventative approaches to careAdministrative and computer skills are an asset (EMR, Microsoft Office and Google Workplace)Strong interpersonal and organizational skillsGuest-centred and trauma-informed approach to carePassion for learningAuthentic, focused presence, intuitive sensitivity and respect for different life trajectoriesComfortable with new environments and the ability to adapt to evolving processesLived and/or integrated experiences informing a deeper understanding of treatment are welcomedSABI Mind is committed to being an equal-opportunity employer.
