We offer a full range of services to extend the life of telecom networks, from sourcing nearly a million multi-vendor network parts to responsible decommissioning and network engineering.Job functionReporting to the Operations Manager (Pty), the Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Warehouse and Yard, ensuring stock is stored, processed, booked in, dispatched, or recycled in a timely manner in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.Specific ResponsibilitiesWarehouse ManagementPlan, organize, and oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods, operating and driving the forklift to assist placement of incoming stock to the correct area.Oversee receiving and sortation operations to ensure incoming goods are correctly allocated for booking in or recovery, ensuring all pallets are labelled with the correct purchase order numbers.Maintain active communication with the Operations Manager and Warehouse Operatives to coordinate daily operations.Attend meetings and actively contribute.Liaise with Operations Manager and staff to ensure security of warehouse facilities.Assist in other Warehouse duties and areas when required.Perform any reasonable requests which are within the ability of the individual.Labor Planning, Staff SupervisionManage Warehouse Operatives' non-performance and escalate issues to the Operations Manager.Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff, ensuring high levels of motivation and productivity.Health & Safety and ComplianceEnsure warehouse operations are carried out safely, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures, including PPE and safe working procedures.Liaise with the QHSE Advisor (UK) to ensure that all warehouse tasks/operations are covered under risk assessments and inform QHSE when new risk assessments are required.Ensure all plant equipment (including but not limited to Forklifts, racking, and tools) are well maintained and suitable for use, quarantining any unsafe items and making recommendations to the Operations Manager for replacement.Follow all company Policies and Procedures, including but not limited to Quality, Health and Safety, Environment, and Information Security.Inventory and Stock ControlOversee the accuracy and integrity of stock management systems.Continuous Improvement and ReportingMake recommendations to the Operations Manager for new processes and procedures to optimize operations.Monitor operational costs and identify areas for efficiencies to reduce expenses.Implement strategies to control costs without compromising quality of service, such as optimizing warehouse layouts, reducing waste, and improving inventory accuracy.Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Order accuracy and fulfilment rates.Inventory accuracy and stock turn, including bonded goods reconciliation.Warehouse safety record (e.g., number of incidents).Labor efficiency (e.g., productivity per hour, labour costs vs. operational output).Warehouse operating costs.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.RequirementsAbout youProven experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in telecoms-related industries.Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.Other informationWe OfferCompetitive salary and benefit package.Great working environment with a team who actively work together for a common goal.Opportunities for career growth & advancement.On-site free parking.Free refreshments and fruit.How to applyIf you have the skills and experience needed for this role, we want to hear from you.
