Job Title: Financial Compliance Manager
This role is responsible for managing and delivering audit and finance compliance activity for the GPC Asia Pacific Group. The focus areas include SOX compliance, managing the external audit, and preparation of statutory accounts for Australia and New Zealand.
The key responsibilities of this role include providing finance business partnering support and advice to Shared Services teams and Business Partners, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory changes, leading the External Audit Program for the Group, and preparing Consolidated Statutory Accounts for the Group.
This role also involves managing all Finance controls related to SOX Risk & Controls Matrix, working with Atlanta Head Office to provide input to proposed policies, changes to policies, and obtaining accounting treatment guidance for particular material transactions. Additionally, the role requires cascading regular technical accounting guidance from Atlanta Corporate office to the wider Asia Pacific Finance Organisation.
The Financial Compliance Manager will participate in due diligence of potential acquisitions, review target accounting procedures, and provide advice and/or instructions for remediation required prior to or following the acquisition. This role also involves driving ongoing continuous improvement and orchestrating business education of business practices to ensure continued compliance with relevant accounting standards with improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
Key Skills/Experience:
* Qualified CA/CPA with 5+ years working in an ASX-listed company, US-listed company, or major accounting firm.
* Strong business, finance, and commercial acumen including exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent management, operational, financial, and administrative skills.
* Adaptive skills: data analysis, analytical and strategic thinking, problem-solving, planning and organisation, presenting, results-driven, interpersonally savvy, inquisitive, self-managing, influencing, and effective communication.
* Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills and a high attention to detail.
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
