This role is based on 8/6 rosters and working various shifts, DIDO from Burnie, TAS. Perfect for a Burnie Local. Responsibilities: Assisting the Site Manager with the smooth running of site accommodation and catering services. Team management and leadership. A commitment to, and understanding of, a strong safety culture in a remote setting. Reservations – completing all check-in/check-out procedures. Bar operations - customer service and cash handling. Answering and directing telephone enquiries. Assisting with guest and resident queries. Account reconciliations/invoices/banking. Assist the broader team as required. Ideal candidate will have the following: Responsible service of alcohol certificate. Previous hospitality/food industry experience (highly desirable). Stable & progressive management experience within a remote environment. A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service. A motivated, constructive and professional 'can-do' attitude. Resourcefulness, resilience and enthusiasm. Adherence to food & general safety practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks. Pride in personal appearance & hygiene. Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather.
