The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Venue Manager to lead the team to deliver exceptional customer experience on a full-time fixed term basis, in readiness for the upcoming 2024/2025 season.
Responsible for the management of this fantastic facility, the team at the Centre and our local community, you are fully accountable for the Centre’s operational, financial and program deliverables.
Inherent in the role is the commitment to ethical practices, to foster strong team motivation and reinforcement of the Belgravia Leisure values, contributing to the positive work culture across the region. To be considered for this role you will be a seasoned, professional applicant, who leads with vision and energy, preferably from within the leisure, fitness, aquatic or facility management sector.
Applicants with strong operational and management experience will have the opportunity to also oversee operation requirements at Crestwood Estate Pool. Through the leadership and development of your teams, you will support staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences, aquatic safety and contract deliverables for each facility.

Possessing strong communication skills, you are able to build rapport and positive relationships with people. Ideally you will have experience in managing a team, working on and in the business, and a willingness to be the face of the facility.
With a flair and ability to positive influence and negotiate win-win outcomes, you lead by example. You are tech savvy and have a sound knowledge of health and safety legislation. You possess values such as integrity, excellence, courage, openness, respect leadership and accountability.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
1. Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
2. Excellent verbal communication skills
3. Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
4. Demonstrated experience of plant room management and pool operations is essential
5. Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
6. Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes.
7. Aquatic Technical Operator / Pool Operations Certificate
8. Pool Life Guard Certificate
9. National Police Check
10. Working with Children Check
11. Current CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
12. Legal working rights in Australia
Desirable:
13. Minimum 2 years’ experience in aquatic operations
14. Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Certificate or willing to obtain
15. Operate and Control Liquefied Chlorine Gas Disinfection Certification or willing to obtain
16. Great understanding of local government and processes
