Service Assistant
This is a unique opportunity to work on Australia's picturesque Kangaroo Island as a Service Assistant.
The Role
Kangaroo Island Health Service currently has a permanent part-time position open for the hotel services sector of the hospital and aged care facilities. we are looking for someone who is willing to work in cleaning and catering. Duties may include the preparation, service and delivery of food to clients, and general housekeeping.

Eligibility & Requirements
The successful applicant will hold the following essential minimum requirements:
4. A current driver’s licence and a willingness to drive on country roads.
5. Flexibility and commitment to participate in a rostering system (including weekends as required)
6. At minimum, a limited level of experience in the areas of housekeeping, cooking/catering and laundry.
7. Experience working with Aboriginal consumers
8. A basic knowledge of safe working conditions, Food Safety Standards and Infection Control Standards (including cleaning and sanitizing processes).
9. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable
10. Successful completion of Year 11 High School or equivalent
11. A current First Aid Certificate
12. Experience in the areas of housekeeping, cooking/catering and laundry
