About Our Team
The Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service provides accessible mental health services for infants, children, young people and their families/carers.
We have a specialist, multi-disciplinary and intensive care mental health service incorporating the lived and living experience of family peer specialists and youth peer workers.
Our Services
We offer specialist services in two age streams: 0-11 and 12-26 years.
Services include perinatal care, neurodevelopmental presentations, eating disorders and outreach support.
What You'll Be Doing
You will be working in the EIMOS team at Alfred ICYAMHWS, Moorabbin, providing outreach to children, young people, their families and stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Assessment and intervention
* Clinical, family and group work
* Commitment to high standards of client care and family support
* Participation in service development planning, implementation and evaluation activities
* Collaboration with the Alfred ICYAMHWS and headspace Southern Melbourne for coordinated transitions and service integration
This is an ongoing position based on rostered shifts across weekdays, after-hours and weekends when service expansion occurs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
* An approved postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
* Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
* Or, for Occupational Therapists:
o Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia via AHPRA to practice with the National Board
* Or, for Psychologists:
o Registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009)
o Practice endorsement as a clinical/clinical neuropsychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
o A Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
* Or, for Social Workers:
o An approved degree in Social Work
o Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
