Salary packaging:
* Jessie McPherson Private Health employees are eligible for salary packaging, and due to our status as a public benevolent institution (PBI), we can offer employees a capping limit of $15,900 each FBT year.

Our Maternity Unit is a 19-bed antenatal/postnatal unit with a 6 bed SCN. Situated on the same site as Monash Health and Monash Children’s at Clayton, we provide outstanding patient and family centred care in a tertiary facility. Our Postnatal care expanded to include a Satellite Maternity Unit based close by in Chadstone. The Satellite Unit needs to be staffed by experienced midwives who are confident working autonomously and safely outside the hospital environment. Midwives will be rostered to work across both the Hospital Maternity Ward (51 North) and the Satellite Maternity Unit.
About the Role & You
We are excited to announce that we will have multiple opportunities to work across both sites where our patients have access to state-of-the-art care and facilities for both mother and baby. We are dedicated to ensuring the first days as a parent are supported and focused on the individual needs and parental education. You are a passionate Registered Nurse and Midwife and wish provide exceptional care and support to women and babies, and you are an advocate of women and family centred care. You will be inspired every day working with likeminded, passionate colleagues who share your values and purpose. Skills in Adult resuscitation, Neonatal Resuscitation and extensive experience in lactation support and postnatal care and education are a must to see you excel in this role. In addition, the successful candidates will:
* Enjoy working with our passionate and caring team to provide the best patient centred care to our women and their families
* Be the midwife you aspire to be with the support offered within the organisation
* Actively contribute to our organisational goals including a positive and safe culture
* Experience the variety of working across two very different postnatal environments
* Work across a 7 day / 24 hour rotating roster
* All roles are ongoing and we can accommodate your choice to work part time or full time

What you Need:
* Experience and passion about providing exceptional care to women and their families in the Antenatal and Postnatal period.
* Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Authority (AHPRA)
* Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong supportive and engaging style
* A passion for achieving high quality clinical outcomes
* Enjoy working in a diverse and ever-changing environment
* Be highly motivated to learn and willing to undertake continuing education
