Develop, implementation & maintenance of health & safety plans;Ensure the effective implementation of the HSEMS across Technical Services; andOil and Gas / mining industry experience is desirable.You will partner with relevant Managers and Business Unit Representatives ensuring the effective implementation of the HSEMS across Technical Services. Providing professional safety advise to Technical Services personnel on a wide range of Project activities such as gas drilling, dam construction and maintenance, high risk work activities and care and maintenance activities at abandoned mine sites across QLD. Ensuring the training needs of Technical Services are adequately identified and addressed in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities, will include:Assist in the implementation and review the Technical Services Health and Safety Strategy as part of the broader DRES requirements;Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of health and safety plans, procedures, systems and processes;Support the development, coordination and implementation of an auditing schedule to facilitate continual improvement of the Technical Services HSEMS;Assist in the development of statistical reports on the performance of the HSEMS and associated projects to facilitate management review and continual improvement;Understand and incorporate project and operational risk assessment processes into management plans and be able to facilitate workshops to characterise relevant risks and controls;Contribute to the development and delivery of health and safety programs which support management and staff in meeting legislative compliance and strategic objectives;Assist in the review of the training needs analysis for the Business Unit liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure its ongoing effectiveness;Liaise with key stakeholders with the aim of influencing and contributing to the strategies to the work health and safety agenda; andProvide support in ensuring the Technical Services HSEMS is developed in compliance to relevant legislation where required.Desirable attributes & Experience: A relevant Cert IV / diploma / degree in WHS, OHS is highly desirable;A relevant qualification in training and assessment is desirable;Working knowledge of WHS legislation and its application.
