This role reports to the National VM Manager and is also responsible for:Developing, planning and implementing merchandising ideas and strategies to achieve sales budgets, whilst maintaining company guidelines.Managing weekly VM guidelines and Merchandising documents while providing support and training to Regional VM teams to ensure high levels of execution.Assisting with new store openings and/or refurbishments.Working with our National VM teams and our Regional Managers to carefully plan and assess different store shapes and sizes to ensure we maximize sales whilst maintaining company guidelines.Fostering a strong collaboration with Buyers, Planners and Allocators to ensure products are presented at a high standard and in line with the company brand and direction.Managing the design and set up of major events, promotions and campaigns.Assisting with the design of window concepts and coordinating the smooth installation in stores.Proposing solutions when challenges arise during times of VM implementation.ABOUT YOUWe are proud of our unique, privately owned business model and we are therefore looking for a candidate that has a passion and a strong understanding of how a family-run business operates.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels and across all departments.We are also looking for a candidate that is enthusiastic, experienced and energetic with a natural flair for interior design/styling. You will show initiative and creativity in solving problems and have the capability to build strong working relationships with our store teams and our Regional Managers.To be successful in this role, a qualification in Visual Merchandising and/or Interior Design is essential along with a genuine interest in homewares.This role also requires a high level of proficiency in Photoshop/InDesign (or similar) and also with Microsoft Office Suite.This role is based at our Support Office in Hawthorn; however, applicants must have their own vehicle and a current driver's licence as there will be regular travel to stores.
