About the role
BMD are looking for a Quality Manager with experience on multi-million-dollar civil infrastructure works. You will liaise with the engineering and supervision teams on site, to ensuring that best practice quality systems are put in place.
The project is based in Nowra and welcomes a site uplift and accommodation provided!
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring the project’s quality management plans/procedures are effectively implemented;
2. Providing support to the delivery teams to promote effective quality management practices
3. Provide leadership and mentoring to engineers in relation to project QA
4. Handle client expectations and communicate effectively with the project team
5. Verifying that works constructed are compliant to the required standards and specifications and that the necessary records are available to confirm this;
6. Monitoring compliance through various surveillance activities, including ongoing site visits, inspections and audits;
7. Identifying quality issues and helping implement solutions to improve the project’s quality system, processes and outcomes; and
8. Monitoring and reporting on quality performance and taking actions when required.
Skills and experience
9. Tertiary qualification in engineering preferred
10. Lead Auditor qualification also highly regarded
11. Experience managing QA management systems on major civil infrastructure projects
12. Team player with a positive attitude
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
