Our client located in Epping, offers Before and After School Care services and is looking for enthusiastic, experienced and passionate Educators to join their team on a casual basis for their afternoon shifts. On a daily basis your shift activities can include – afternoon tea service, craft activities, indoor and outdoor games, active supervision and relationship building You will be working in an environment purposely built, that offers state of the art facilities – a bright, well-appointed modern classroom, with an inviting outdoor space made for play, exploring and fun. Working from a weekly roster, you will be allocated p.m. shifts – expect to be working a minimum of 2 shifts per week. The Centre operate afternoon shifts from 2 pm – 6.30pm). They are only looking for educators to work afternoon shifts and must be available on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. You will be paid casual hourly rate $32.73 - $36.85 Super hourly rate paid under the Children Services Award. About you As a passionate and experienced Educator, you will: · Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in working in a busy OOSH environment · Have experience with student inclusion support · Have strong communication skills for interacting and engaging with children · Have the ability to provide effective feedback and discuss children’s development with a range of stakeholders · Have the ability to support children with various needs · The ability to remain composed and calm and respond to unforeseen incidents and emergencies as they occur · Have knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place and the Education and Care National Regulations and Act · Work cohesively as a team with other educators · Be self-motivated, committed and bringing your best self to work To be successful you will have · 1 years minimum experience in a similar position · Hold a valid NSW Working with Children check · Highly desirable; First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management (HTAID004), or be willing to obtain these · Qualifications in Child Education and Care are favorably looked upon It is a requirement that staff attending our clients’ facilities have appropriate COVID vaccinations providing supporting evidence of your vaccination status is part of the recruitment process.
