Primary DetailsPart-Time, Permanent Opportunity (Open to 3 days a week)Sydney, New South WalesHybrid working, happy to talk flexible workingThe opportunity: As a senior member of the Regulatory Affairs team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Head of Regulatory to enhance, lead, and drive AUSPAC's Regulatory Change Management Framework for regulatory change and AUSPAC's Regulatory Engagement Policy for managing relationships with AUSPAC's conduct regulators.
Your new role: This role involves collaborating with the Head of Regulatory to enhance and drive AUSPAC's Regulatory Change Management Framework and Regulatory Engagement Policy. You will act as a key compliance adviser on regulatory engagements and change projects, playing a crucial role in strengthening AUSPAC's compliance risk culture by embedding best practice compliance management.
Additionally, the role provides 2nd line advice, challenge, and oversight on regulatory engagements and change initiatives to ensure they are proactively managed in a sustainable manner.
Key Responsibilities include: Assist the Head of Regulatory in providing input and strategic direction into the AUSPAC Technical Compliance team's strategy and workplan (including vision, roadmap, and priorities), while ensuring effective communication and dissemination of the compliance strategy, policies, and processes.Manage regulatory change in line with AUSPAC's compliance risk management framework, influence key stakeholders to prioritise and manage regulatory change sustainably, assist the business in understanding regulatory change deliverables, and review and advise on compliance risk KRIs.Advise on compliance risk management in new initiatives and projects, provide insights on compliance management, contribute to Compliance and Regulatory reports for AUSPAC and Group board, and support the maintenance of the obligations register.Embed a compliant and customer-focused culture across the organisation, adding value to internal customers through strategic insights and pragmatic suggestions to overcome regulatory challenges, while ensuring regulatory engagements are managed effectively and efficiently.Provide insights on compliance and regulatory engagements, offer Line 2 insights to help the business meet its obligations or initiate change to mitigate compliance risk, deliver regular reports on compliance matters to stakeholders, and build and maintain relationships across functional and organisational boundaries.Provide timely advice on regulatory requirements and compliance risk management, offer regular updates on potential regulatory changes, and establish and maintain 2nd line compliance risk management processes.Role model QBE's DNA values and demonstrate leadership capabilities to challenge and influence business unit leaders to embed strong risk practices, encourage open and constructive feedback to build risk awareness and culture, coach and develop junior team members, and share knowledge and insights with the team and business.About you Your story will include strong interpersonal and communication skills in establishing relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, as well as effective analytical and problem-solving skills. You will have a highly developed skillset in interpreting legislation and regulatory requirements, strong influencing skills, appropriate report generation skills and relevant tertiary qualifications.
