Key ResponsibilitiesWorking with teachers in defining the aims and objectives of the Learning Area for the different courses and Year levels.Developing Teaching and Learning Programs, Assessment Outlines and resources with teachers and ensuring these are visible to students and parents.Meeting periodically with the Deputy Principal and Head of Curriculum to review the academic progress of students in each Year group.Keeping abreast of new curriculum developments and ensuring staff are aware of these.Staff Management and Leadership Inspire staff to achieve their highest potential while recognising their contributions.Conduct formal and informal lesson observations, providing constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.Mentor and support early career teachers in building positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and students.Assessment Oversight Oversee the development and monitoring of Assessment Outlines, ensuring compliance with school guidelines.Maintain up-to-date marks books and reporting data, ensuring transparency for students and parents.General Administration Collaborate with the Deputy Principal and Head of Curriculum on ongoing administrative tasks.Prepare an end-of-year report detailing curriculum developments and future directions.Manage the Learning Area budget and assist in the selection of staff.Community Engagement Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and students, fostering strong connections within the school community.Encourage the integration of industry experts and alumni into classroom practices.Pastoral Care Provide dedicated pastoral care to students, addressing academic queries and concerns promptly and equitably.To apply for this position, please respond to the following Selection Criteria elements in no more than three A4 pages:
