Position Overview:
The Assistant Asset Manager will support the Asset Management team in managing the company's portfolio of property-backed loans and investments. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of real estate finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the oversight of asset performance, assist in investment analysis, and support portfolio management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the management of a diverse portfolio of property-backed loans and investments.
2. Conduct financial analysis and modelling to evaluate asset performance and investment opportunities.
3. Support the preparation of reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and investors.
4. Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
5. Collaborate with the Asset Management team to develop strategies for optimising asset performance.
6. Liaise with external parties, including property managers, valuers, and legal professionals, to ensure effective asset oversight.
7. Maintain accurate records and databases related to asset performance and investment activities.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of asset management policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field will be advantageous.
2. Relevant experience in real estate finance, asset management or a similar role is preferred.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
4. High level of technology proficiency expected – Excel, Word, PDF etc.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
6. Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
7. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
