In order to support our Companies vision for future development, we are seeking the skills of a suitably qualified Machining Workshop and Local Works Coordinator for our Geraldton Workshop to lead our highly skilled team of Machinists and Mechanical Fitters, along with all local site works.Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role will work in conjunction with management. You will be responsible for providing planning & scheduling of projects and machinery breakdowns, ensuring machinery & tooling are utilized and maintained, and to ensure the workshop runs at optimum performance.Your ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement and maintain workshop schedules in line with our short term and long-term objectives.Monitor resource availability, procurement and communication with suppliers to ensure availability.Provide communication between Management and workshop teams to ensure on-time completion of works.Strong communication skills with workshop teams in order to plan and deliver daily/weekly & monthly targets.Maintain and foster a working environment which promotes safety in all that we do whilst also providing outstanding service.Provide coaching and development strategies for workshop crew.Estimating and quoting of future workshop and site projects.Your Experience and SkillsKnowledge of Machining practices.Fitting and Machining Trade Certificate is a minimum requirement.Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a supervisory role or maintenance scheduling.Demonstrate experience in planning, scheduling and budgeting within a workshop environment.Ability to lead, develop and mentor.Intermediate MS Office skills; drawing programme knowledge an advantage.Current C class license; Forklift and WP tickets advantageous.RosterMonday to Friday with an occasional Saturday at workshop based in Geraldton.Competitive salary package plus vehicleThe successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with Customers and Suppliers.
