Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Full time Superb safety opportunity within the world's leading sustainable building materials company.Located at either Dandenong or Coburg, VIC.Create and build new systems.Experience in safety leadership roles within high-risk environments preferred.Competitive salary package including TOT vehicle.Holcim: As a global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions, Holcim is enabling greener cities, smarter infrastructure, and improving living standards around the world.With sustainability at the core of our strategy, we are becoming a net-zero company, with our people and communities at the heart of our success.We are driving circular construction as a world leader in recycling to build more with less.About the opportunity: Reporting to the National Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for completing the integration of an acquired business and bringing it up to Holcim standard following an agreed due diligence plan.Activities will include Traffic Management, Isolation, Contractor Management, and high-risk work management - Work at Heights, Hot Work, and Confined Spaces.You will contribute to the development of line management and supervisor health & safety capability, ensuring safety and health systems and processes are understood and implemented effectively by the line.You will also support strategic plan initiatives at an operational level and provide consultancy, coaching, and support to managers and supervisors on safety and health matters.Further accountabilities include: Facilitating and modelling a safety leadership style that demonstrates our priority for health and safety and underpins our drive to zero Harm.Maintaining a working knowledge of relevant safety and health legislation, trends, and new initiatives impacting the business.Undertaking site audits against Holcim Australia safety systems and other appropriate standards.Monitoring, measuring, tracking, and reporting on corrective actions from risk assessments, investigations, and audits.Identifying opportunities to simplify safety systems and processes without compromising our zero Harm goal.Assisting line management with safety incident investigations and tracking of corrective measures.Supporting line management in identifying, assessing, controlling, and reviewing health and safety hazards.To be successful in this role you will need: A relevant qualification and/or commensurate level of experience.Previous experience in a safety leadership role within high-risk environments.Experience in conducting safety inspections, audits, and leading incident investigations.Current knowledge of OH&S legislation and practices.Familiarity with Health & Safety record-keeping systems.Ability to drive and promote a zero-harm culture.Ability to work in a team environment.Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.Intermediate proficiency in Google suite preferred.Why Holcim?
