Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: Are you an experienced Care Assistant or Support Worker? Are you looking for a flexible role to work around your current commitments? Then a bank Support Worker role could be for you! We are currently recruiting for Bank Support Workers to expand our team within a supported living service in Perth. As a Support Worker you will support a gentleman with an acquired brain injury and COPD to live his best life possible while helping him maintain his independence. He is a fun, kind and caring man who enjoys the outdoors and likes walking, going to the gym, cycling and swimming. He also enjoys watching movies, playing pool and listening to the radio and is looking for a new staff member to support and encourage him in his activities. In addition to this, the gentleman we support needs some support to promote his independence, such as:
16. Helping him with his daily routines
17. Assisting him to mobilise
18. Promoting access to his local area and to build and maintain personal connections
19. Administering medication
20. Helping him manage his home and finances
Our team provide support on a 1:1 basis and our shifts start at 10am and finish at 10am the following day, with a sleepover included.
