5. Liaise with various functional areas at DCS to identify the impacts of sustainability-related risks and opportunities, how we respond to these within our strategy and decision making, and their impact on the resilience of our strategy.
6. Support incoming future requirements in climate-related financial disclosure work.
7. Coordinate and support a Department-wide approach to assessing the impacts of sustainability-related risks and opportunities on our business model, strategy and decision making, including providing suggested solutions, writing reports and briefs for key governance forums and committees, and providing support for agencies.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate :
1. Exceptional customer service skills and ability to partner and negotiate with key and often multiple stakeholders simultaneously, to achieve a common objective.
2. Experience in climate change management or similar, including exposure to strategy or risk management (experience in the NSW public sector is preferable but not essential).
3. A clear and effective communication style which influences and creates opportunities for others to be heard.
4. Proven ability to stay calm under pressure in challenging situations and unpredictable environments, and be able to pivot quickly and respond effectively to multiple tasks and emerging issues in a timely manner.
5. Ability to interpret complex business needs, by navigating a range of possibilities and problem-solving to achieve a beneficial result.
