With a growing portfolio of clients and expanding operations, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our transport division in WA/SA and NT.
The Role:
As the General Manager, you will oversee the transport and logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and profitability. You will lead a large team, develop strategic plans, and work closely with senior leadership to drive growth and improve service delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader with a passion for logistics, innovation, and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services
* Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
* Lead, mentor, and manage a large team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, health & safety, and environmental standards
* Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and suppliers
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance
* Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance of the transport division
* Collaborate with senior leadership on business development and strategic growth plans
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leadership role within the transport/logistics sector
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* In-depth knowledge of transport regulations, compliance, and health & safety standards
* Demonstrated success in operational efficiency, business development, and profitability
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
* Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L
