Centre for the Business and Economics of HealthFull-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 2 yearsBase salary will be in the range $89,861.38 - $96,402.32 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)Based at our St Lucia CampusAbout This OpportunityThis position provides high-level research administrative support and general operational support for the Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH) to facilitate and enhance the operations and performance of the Centre. This position will report to the CBEH Research Centre Manager.Key responsibilities will include:Act as a point of advice and action on all aspects of research administration including:Pre-award processes such as assisting to develop research project budgets, reviewing and editing proposals.Post-award processes such as monitoring project finances, processing finance transactions, and effective management of research project documentation.Developing and maintaining knowledge of UQ policies and procedures.Using research-related information management systems such as MyResearch, eSpace, and Reportal.Design and maintain Centre administration systems and processes to improve the workflow, efficiency, and effectiveness of Centre operations.Support the administrative requirements for the Centre Director, including diary management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements, while also coordinating Centre communications, including webpage updates.Provide Centre governance committee support and event coordination, fostering effective networks within UQ and with external stakeholders to facilitate Centre operations and collaborations.About YouA degree with subsequent relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Experience in research administration with the ability to interpret relevant policies, procedures, and systems, or a demonstrated capacity to quickly learn and apply this knowledge.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a range of styles and with high attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style and ability to exercise judgment when dealing with confidential or sensitive matters.Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently, showing initiative, to prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines.Advanced computer literacy skills, including experience with a wide range of software applications and the capacity to improve Centre systems.The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, etc.Work Rights:You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
