About the RoleReporting to the Maintenance and Logistics Supervisor, this role will have you involved in the day-to-day planning of all heavy vehicle movements, maintenance forecasting and scheduling, fleet selection and approvals and general improvements for the Track Renewals department.
Responsibilities will include:
Understand site Safety Systems and their link to health and safetyConduct risk assessments and management of chance process for new equipment and plant being brought into the departmentLead improvement projects, including process improvements within the wider Track Renewals departmentManage the fleet effectively and efficientlyCultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation with senior leaders and team membersBe involved in the co-ordination of all heavy vehicle and driver movements.Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolutionAbility to be flexible and adaptable to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to implement and deliver policies and proceduresStrategic Thinking, Planning & Problem-solving abilityAbout YouYou are a proactive and safety-conscious professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
With strong people management skills, you enjoy leading teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
You have experience managing improvement tasks and coordinating operations, though prior experience in fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) roles is not required.
Your ability to stay organized and adaptable allows you to effectively oversee maintenance and logistics functions.
While experience in fleet control, maintenance planning, or logistics coordination would be advantageous, it is not essential.
Most importantly, you bring a problem-solving mindset and a commitment to efficiency and workplace safety.
