Mars Recruitment is currently seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Prison Health Nurses at a low-security corrections centre in the Northern Territory. Role Overview: As a Prison Health Nurse, you will collaborate closely with the NT Correctional Services to deliver high-quality healthcare services within the correctional facility. Your primary responsibilities will include providing access to medication and care, delivering clinical care according to the CARPA Standard Manual, and ensuring the well-being of inmates. Key Responsibilities: Administering medication and treatments in accordance with established protocols. Conducting health assessments and providing appropriate interventions. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address the healthcare needs of inmates. Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation. Adhering to all safety and security protocols within the correctional setting. Requirements: AHPRA registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Demonstrated experience in venepuncture and cannulation. Valid driver's license. Working with Children Card/NT Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain). Previous experience in a correctional or similar setting is advantageous. Benefits: Competitive agency rates. Accommodation provided, heavily subsidised.
