We are seeking a skilled M365 Security Engineer to assist with enhancing security measures and hardening policies for Microsoft 365 in our internal project. This short-term, consultative role requires expertise in Microsoft 365 security best practices, policy configuration, and the implementation of security controls to ensure the organization's environment is robust and protected against modern threats.Key Responsibilities:Conduct an assessment of current Microsoft 365 security configurations and identify potential areas for improvement.Develop and implement hardening policies for Microsoft 365 environments, including user access management, multi-factor authentication, conditional access, and data protection controls.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure policies are aligned with organizational requirements and compliance standards.Provide guidance on securing Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 services.Advise on best practices for protecting sensitive data, preventing unauthorized access, and mitigating risks in the M365 ecosystem.Deliver a consultative approach to configuring security features such as Microsoft Defender for Office 365, DLP policies, and auditing mechanisms.Document security configurations, processes, and recommendations for ongoing maintenance and compliance.Key Requirements:Proven experience in securing Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and other cloud services.In-depth knowledge of M365 security features and tools (e.g., Conditional Access, MFA, Microsoft Defender).Experience with configuring hardening policies and security controls for enterprise environments.Strong understanding of security best practices and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO).Excellent communication and consultative skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting
