We have an opportunity for an experienced junior lawyer, law clerk or paralegal to join our dedicated Personal Injury team.About the roleYou will be providing high-quality support to a small and dedicated team of established lawyers, assisting them with a variety of tasks including:•Document management such as drafting correspondence, proof reading, formatting and editing documents, and collating and managing disclosure files and lists;•Preparing first drafts of legal documents and creating and maintaining briefs to counsel;•File administration including electronic filing, opening and preparing files, creating, maintaining and filing client records and archiving;•Billing, including collaborating with our accounts team to monitor and prompt regular billing;•Communicating with and obtaining information from clients and third parties;•Scheduling appointments and conferences, answering and directing phone calls and assisting in covering reception when required; and•Working cooperatively within your team environment and providing assistance to other teams where required.This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to manage your time effectively, work independently, and to produce accurate work. It also requires a motivated, self-driven individual who enjoys working independently, but also sees the value in working in a close-knit team.Please note this is a full-time role.About youYou will:•have a proven background working as a junior lawyer, legal secretary, paralegal or equivalent;•be confident in your own abilities and able to efficiently handle a variety of tasks with minimal supervision;•be able to take initiative, prioritise, plan and manage work to meet deadlines and produce high quality results;•be committed, reliable and organised with a strong work ethic;•have exceptional attention to detail, and strong planning and organisational skills;•have sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word and Outlook).
