Job Description
As a Life Stories Volunteer Biographer, you will help our residents leave a lasting legacy by recording their stories, memories, and messages for loved ones using your listening and writing skills.
Skills Required
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
* 50 words per minute typing skills
* Ability to work independently and problem solve
* Own car to drive to the home of the Client
* Willingness to learn new technology and software
Duties
* Use a Dictaphone to record client interviews
* Transcribe recordings using a transcription software program
* Edit transcriptions for accuracy and clarity
Availability
Commitment: 6 months or longer
Time: Up to 5 hours per week
Frequency: Weekly (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm)
