Position overview –
We are currently seeking a driven, forward thinking Category Manager to join our team and drive the success of our product portfolio. As the category Manager, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain lifecycle from sourcing, negotiation, contract management, supplier performance management, category management, risk management and fulfilment
Key responsibilities –
* Manage supplier negotiations within delegation across multiple categories
* Undertake supply market research, competitor assessments, market and technology trends
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating optimal terms for cost and availability
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations to drive category performance
* Ensure all health, safety, quality and environmental standards and legislation are strictly met, ensuring a safe environment for employees, customers, contractors.
* Develop and apply best practice systems for the supply chain including freight forwarding, shipping, warehousing, courier management, inventory management, reporting, shipment visibility tracking and KPI’s
Skills and experience –
* Tertiary qualifications in Business/commerce preferred
* Minimum 8 years supply chain experience across multiple categories of spend
* Experience in hospitality industry an advantage
* Professional customer service attitude
