You will be instrumental in providing subject matter expertise to Ageing Australia & its members. The role provides support and advice to Members in their H&CC services for Older Australians through Ageing Australia's membership offerings. The role also offers support for the work of other Ageing Australia functions such as Policy & Advocacy, Training & Events.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Members to effectively respond to H&CC sector reforms & compliance requirements.Provide accurate support & advice to Members through the provision of relevant & timely information & support on operational issues regarding H&CC policy, programs & operational practices. This includes management advice on aspects of operations such as: legislative compliance; regulations & standards; accreditation & funding; quality systems & programs; staff training & education; and governance.Attend, support & participate in Ageing Australia Member Engagement Mechanisms and Forums.Gather feedback from Members to make recommendations for new initiatives, enhanced Ageing Australia member offerings and/or policy sector change.Develop and deliver workshops and learning modules.Ensure the success of Ageing Australia Events by providing specialist advice on the design & conduct of programs and assistance such as presentations and facilitation.Assist in the development of policies and position statements.Contribute to the development & effective management of member portfolio distribution responses resulting in high levels of member satisfaction & customer experience which supports member retention.Respond to Commonwealth & State/Territory policy developments.Skills & Qualifications:To be successful you will have:Tertiary qualifications in related field.At least 5 years’ management, advisory or consulting experience in Aged Care, Home & Community Care or Seniors Housing/ Retirement Living.Knowledge of key issues relating to best practice in H&CC.Ability to translate policy / legislation into operational guidance for Ageing Australia Members.Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively advise, influence and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.Good coaching, facilitation and consultancy skills with abilities in influencing change, particularly as an external agent.We require federal police check as an essential selection component for this role, please consider this requirement when submitting your application.How to apply: Click the “Apply” button and submit with your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
