Our client is a top pet food manufacturer in Australia and New Zealand, known for delivering high-quality products for four-legged, furry friends.
This new, stand-alone Health & Safety role is based at their Dubbo site and reports to the HSE Manager in Sydney. Our client is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and is looking for an experienced, driven, and passionate Health & Safety Advisor to join their team.
Key responsibilities:
• Create a safe work environment for the team, suppliers and subcontractors
• Provide input in the development and assistance of implementing the site HS plan
• Ensure staff induction and training, ensuring compliance with company WHS policies and procedures
• Monitor WHS performance through audits, regular site inspections
• Support management of employee personal injury and illness cases including RTW
• Identify and correct unsafe conditions/behaviours
You will also be required to partner with the Engineering department on the following topics:
• Working at height
• Machinery safety
• LOTO
• Asbestos
• Electrical safety
• Permit to work
• Contractor Safety
• Fire Safety
• Process Safety
Essential:
• Minimum Diploma in HS or higher
• Experience in similar HSE roles in manufacturing or mass production
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Collaborative approach to towards providing business solutions
• Sound knowledge across the Microsoft Office Suite
