Your new role Participate in program and service planning, review, monitoring, and evaluation activities to ensure efficient and effective service provision. Manage and review program processes and work instructions, ensuring team adherence. Complete high-standard casework, including regular case reviews and progress reports for Child Safety. Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve program goals, including staff induction and support in case discussions. Work within a trauma-informed and child development practice framework, using evidence-based interventions. Conduct regular safety assessments and support team members in this work. Participate in line management meetings, supervision, team meetings, and staff days. Assist the program manager with managing referrals, assessments, and related administrative tasks. Support the program manager in program development, business planning, team building, and staff meetings, taking initiative when opportunities arise. What you'll need to succeed Relevant degree in social work or psychology. Experience working therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced trauma. Understanding and experience with theoretical and therapeutic approaches. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills for interacting with a broad network of service providers and culturally diverse clients. Knowledge of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, with the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with them. Ability to conduct risk assessments for suicidal ideation and child protection concerns, ensuring client safety through effective liaison. Blue Card and Disability Screening Clearance.
