About the role:
We are currently seeking a Light Vehicle Equipment Fitter for our Coppabella/Moorvale Joint Venture. Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile PCI coal for export markets.
This role will report to the Light Vehicle Supervisor and provide a high level of Maintenance to the Light Vehicle and Auxilliary Fleet.
Duties will include:
1. Maintain and improve maintenance to maximise equipment availability and reliability
2. Ensure maintenance strategies are implemented
3. Provide input in forecasting for planned work
4. Adherence to work management procedures
5. Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, and site policies and procedures
The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a 7 Days On and 7 Days Off (Day only) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle. Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.
About you:
6. Mechanical/Electrical Fitter or Motor Mechanic Trade
7. Strong working knowledge of SAP, maintenance principles and procedures
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
9. Demonstrated experience in safety systems and processes
