In this role you will play a crucial role in managing our stock holdings and part out materials to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our fleet.The RoleTo oversee and manage the distribution of national stock holdings and part out materials, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of the Alliance Airlines fleet. The Inventory Controller will be responsible for implementing inventory management best practices, improving operational efficiency, and reducing costsThe role is responsible for, but not limited to:Distribution instruction of national inventory holding.Refinement of inventory holdingsReview and processing out of obsolete or not applicable parts to Part Sales Coordinator for saleEscalate issues and opportunities of repairable/saleable materials to the Procurement department managersLiaise with finance to ensure all inventory costs are accurately transacted.Identify repair material opportunity to support reliability and compliance best practicePerform activities in a timely and cost-effective mannerMaintain and manage inventory in a cost-effective manner, in support of operational requirementsMaintain adequate oversight of the inventory stock holdings, such that they are sufficient to complete both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, coordinating stock movements when necessaryAssist in local logistics activitiesIdentify and implement improved practicesDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with Management, staff and peersDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with Finance, Procurement, CAMO and AMO stakeholders. Keep up to date with current trends and developments associated with Aviation and Supply ChainEnsure employees are aware of & adhere to Company Safety and Security Policy & Procedures and ensure their actions are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and company standards.Knowledge & ExperienceLogistics and Warehousing experience in a supervisory capacityExperience in dealing with manufacturers and suppliers in relation to the supply or procurement of goods and serviceExperience with computer-based inventory systemsExperience in the aviation industrySupply Chain and Warehousing disciplinesFamiliarity to the operational objectives of aviation regulationsAwareness of matters relating to Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental RegulationsSkillDemonstrated ability to apply logic to processing of dataExcellent written and oral communicationAbility to prioritise, plan and organize work in consultation with team members to meet deadlinesFocus on maintaining accuracy when completing tasks in accordance with work instructionsFlexibility, with a willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasksQualifications:Tertiary Education in Aviation, Supply Chain or related discipline (advantageous)Dangerous Goods Awareness and ExperienceForklift Licence (desirable)Driver LicenseAlliance Airlines Alliance is Australasia’s leading provider of contract, charter and allied aviation and maintenance services currently employing more than 1,500 staff.
