Due to increased business performance, a unique role has become available for an experienced Operations Manager who shares their drive for success in our Commercial Cleaning, Removal and Delivery Service business based in Hobart, Tasmania.
The role involves overseeing the day-to-day running of the operations, quoting and liaising with our customers on a regular basis and confirming job schedules.
Responsibilities:
Daily scheduling: In coordination with our customers, plan and manage daily removal and delivery schedules to ensure projects run on time and on budget. Accurately select required furniture items and commodities to ensure nothing is missing from a delivery.
Quotation: Ensure to quote the best prices or packages to the prospective clients based on their needs.
Packing & loading: Ensure efficient and safe loading of trucks ready for transport.
Transport: Drive company vehicles if required. Manage the unload and install of stock safely and carefully into client's properties.
Furniture placement: Unpack stock and set-up of furniture.
Deliveries: Receive and check deliveries to our customers' required destinations, assemble any furniture as required.
Cleaning: Ensure our team offers cleaning services up to the client’s standards and overall requirements.
Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and customers.
Independent Worker: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent environment, managing tasks efficiently.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in handling expensive furniture items and loading vehicles.
Punctual: Be punctual with neat presentation as you will be working on client premises.
Adaptable: Be adaptable to last minute changes in schedule.
License: Hold a current standard car license, access to a car and a safe driving record.
Phone: Own a mobile phone with camera.
Valid White Card TAS.

Previous Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or removalist environment and an understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations is preferred.
