As a result of internal promotion, they are now seeking a Corporate Accountant to join the team and contribute to the organisation's continued success. Key focuses include monitoring business performance, cost control management, continuous improvement initiatives, project work and Group financial reporting. A key role in the Group's ASX listed head office Finance team, driving the financial accounting function and further developing the value-adding delivery of the finance function to the wider business operations. This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate with 2-4 years' experience, ideally within Audit in a big-4 or mid-tier environment. The Role The main responsibilities of the Corporate Accountant will include but not limited to: Assist with financial accounting and reporting for the Group; Ownership of corporate and international month end activities & reporting; Assist with preparing monthly Board Reports and Quarterly Audit and Risk Committee Reports; Assist with statutory external audit processes (Active participation in Audit preparation and process outcomes); Assist with the preparation of notes to the year-end accounts and statutory accounts; Review the AASB16 events and ensure the accounting recognition is properly updated accordingly in a timely manner; Prepare and post lease accounting journals including depreciation, interest charges, asset and liability movements in line with AASB16 requirements; Review and lodgement of the company's monthly BAS Return; Liaise with external advisors in relation to tax compliance matters; Assist with preparation and lodgement of the company's annual FBT return; Assist with financial accounting areas which may include: Inter-company loan balance reconciliations Group Consolidations Balance sheets reconciliations Develop, maintain, and ensure on-going compliance with accounting practices and procedures; Assist with maintaining adequate internal control systems; Maintenance of cash flow forecasts including analysis and assist with Banking and Treasury administration tasks; Administrating of ERP including coordinating monthly closings. Your Profile You will be a part-qualified Accountant with circa 2-4 years professional experience with in a financial accounting focused role or audit within big-4 or mid-tier environment. You will be excited about progressing your career in a high-calibre team and fast paced environment. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to problem solve and use own initiative to identify and follow through on solutions. You will have competency with Microsoft Office Suite and high level of initiative to work in a dynamic, flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
