Clinical Nurse Consultant (Health and Wellbeing)Capricornia Offender Health Service (COHS) is responsible for the delivery of health services to Prisoners in the Capricornia Correctional Centre (CCC) and Capricornia Correctional Farm (CCF) including Workcamps. COHS provides a health service to a fluctuating population of approximately 1200 male prisoners within CCC and CCF. The CCC receives and transitions prisoners on release from and to geographical locations north to Mackay; south to Gladstone, east to Capricorn Coast; and west to Central Highlands.About the role:The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Health and Wellbeing (CNC H&W) role is to provide advanced clinical leadership and clinical expertise relevant to the care of male Prisoners at the CCC within the Health and Wellbeing programs and services. The CNC H&W works in partnership with the Prisoner Health and Wellbeing service staff, CNC Primary Health Care, the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Nurse Educator (NE) and wider CQ (Central Queensland) Health program teams to support the clinical Prisoner health services in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of correctional nursing.About you:Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation AgencyA relevant postgraduate diploma or master's degree or working towards this will be highly regarded.
