Job Title: Laboratory Technician Position Overview: We are currently seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of laboratory duties to support the processing and analysis of tissue specimens. Key Responsibilities: Receive specimens. Analyse specimens. Report tests and validate as required. Report urgent and abnormal results to relevant clinicians. Participate in routine testing in Biochemistry, Haematology, and Stat Microbiology disciplines. Maintain meticulous records of laboratory procedures and ensure adherence to all laboratory safety and quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Skills Required: Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. Ability to prepare and process laboratory samples using established protocols. Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards. Records maintenance skills. Ability to perform a range of clinical laboratory tests and chemical analyses on biological samples. AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma ANZSCO Skill level 2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
