How it works To be eligible for this program, you need to havesuccessfully completedaCertificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) and have current electrical experience.
If eligible, you will complete a fully funded, fee-free traineeship through TAFE Queensland. At the end of the 12-month traineeship, successful candidates will receive a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) and be offered a teaching position at TAFE Queensland.
Incentives and scholarships In addition to the funded training, you'll alsoreceive a once-off $20,000 incentive paymentto help you make the transition from tradesperson to trainer. The incentive will be paid in two instalments:
$10,000after the end of the training contract probationary period (60 days)$10,000on completion of the traineeship.Additional scholarships up to $5,000are also available to support First Nations people, women, and people in regional and remote areas of Queensland* to take up the traineeship opportunity. The scholarship will be paid in two instalments:
$2,000 after the end of the training contact probationary period (60 days)$3,000 if the recipient is employed with TAFE Queensland six months after completing the course.Successful appointees to positions inMount Isa,KingaroyandChinchillaare also eligible for incentive payments ofup to $25,000 per annumfor working in these locations.
