This role will suit individuals who enjoy a challenge, can thrive in a fast paced physical environment and are adaptable to change.You will be part of a large, diverse team of approximately 15 people and be responsible for having a positive impact on the results of your Cheap as Chips store by maximising sales through excellent customer service, displays and strong merchandising, ticketing, pricing, housekeeping, security, volume stock work and operating a cash register.Looking for more of a challenge? We are also on the lookout for Shift Runners. Shift Runners take on the responsibility of running a shift in the absence of any managers. They work as an integral part of a team and take responsibility for demonstrating company values in every customer and team interaction.Future Store Management opportunities may be available to successful candidates who wish to progress in their career.Skills and experience To be successful in being selected, you must have demonstrated experience in:Assisting customers with buying decisions and promoting the sale of add on itemsHandling cash and process sales using EFTPOSPositioning merchandise to create interest and maximise salesUnpacking boxes and neatly stack shelvesKeeping up to date on product ranges and individual product features.You should also be able to demonstrate the following skills:Excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work as part of a teamAble to handle a fast paced environmentA positive attitude and the ability to make the workplace fun!
