An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified GP VMO to join the team at Cooma Hospital, part of the Southern NSW LHD.
Where you'll be working
Crookwell - Crookwell District Hospital is part of the Inland Network. It is an 18 bed acute care facility that offers emergency medicine, medical inpatient services, pathology collection, medical imaging (x-ray – outreach from Goulburn and remote operator (medical)), and the Wellness Centre. The Wellness Centre provides structured exercise and activity for elderly clients to help maintain functional fitness and independence.
Crookwell Community Health services encompass nurse-led services such as a wound clinic, nursing home visits, child and family health, and allied health services including physiotherapy, social work, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and dietetics.
Crookwell is a small town located in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia, in the Upper Lachlan Shire. Nestled on the top of the Great Dividing Range, it is just over one and a half hours from Canberra and two and a half hours from Sydney.
What you'll be doing
Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for optimal patient outcomes.
Provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Selection Criteria:
1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Practitioner or training towards.
2. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine.
3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
4. Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement.
6. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to all aspects of clinical governance.
7. Demonstrated ability to consistently display a commitment to high-quality Customer Service, Workplace Diversity, Occupational Health & Safety, and relevant legislation.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza.
