About the role We are currently recruiting a Senior Business Analyst, to join our Asset & Operational Strategy Future Network Management team. This role is preferred to be based within Essential Energy's operational footprint throughout NSW. Reporting to the Senior Program/Project Manager, the Senior Business Analyst will lead the provision of high level commercial business intelligence and management expertise, supporting performance management, business development, and improvement initiatives. You will deliver strategic advice to Senior and Executive management, helping to drive decision making processes. The role involves providing specialised, high level analysis, creating critical network reports, and transforming business requests into prioritised data delivery. Additionally, you will manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide guidance to senior leaders, ensuring business efficiencies, cost reduction strategies, and performance improvements across the Division. As the Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for managing complex problem solving tasks, delivering financial, technical, and forecasting advice, and developing robust analytical models to track performance. A core part of your role will be developing and maintaining critical operational performance measures, benchmarking, and building dashboards to track divisional progress against targets and will work to improve reporting and business processes using continuous improvement tools, mentor team members, and provide specialist technical advice to both the team and senior management. About You You are an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in the Energy/Electrical or Utilities industry, skilled in analysing business and operational data, and preparing detailed reports for senior management. You have expertise in using business intelligence tools, including Microsoft products, and can confidently develop presentations and provide actionable advice to senior leaders. Your problem solving skills, strategic thinking, and ability to manage competing priorities at a management level make you a strong candidate. You are skilled at influencing outcomes through effective communication and stakeholder management, and you are driven to deliver results and contribute to improving business processes.
