Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
$91,024 - $98,887 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 4-5 depending on qualifications) + Superannuation

Your new role
Deliver planning and development services to the Council, public, and external agencies in a professional, efficient, and confidential manner, fostering strong working relationships.
You will be responsible for day-to-day administration of the Planning Scheme, including implementing the provisions of Council’s Planning Scheme, assessment and review of development applications and reporting to Council. Carry out site inspections and process planning applications for developments in accordance with the Planning Scheme and related legislation.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning (or relevant discipline) and/or equivalent demonstrate experience in a professional town planning environment.
Ability to use your initiative and judgement to make decisions as a customer focussed individual.
Ability to read and interpret plans, reports and relevant statutory documents, Council policies and procedures.
Team player with the ability to demonstrate initiative in all aspects of the role.
Ability to prioritise tasks and analyse problems and situations to develop and implement solutions.

Application Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning (or relevant discipline) and/or equivalent demonstrate experience in a professional town planning environment.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply professional town planning standards and practices in the Local Government environment.
Proficiency in resolving conflicts and adeptness in engaging, negotiating and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels.
Capability to collaborate effectively with colleagues towards shared objectives, within the immediate team or across Council.
