Carer Program Coordinators are responsible for the development of partnerships between consumers, carers, and health service providers at the local level. Carer Program Coordinators will work closely with key stakeholders to increase carers' access to a range of services and to facilitate communication between carers and health professionals.The Carer Program Coordinator role will initiate strategies to improve the effectiveness of local health services in meeting the needs of carers, through the provision of structures to promote carer initiatives.
