About the role Step into the world of luxury with JPL Group as a Group Junior Buyer and become a key player in shaping our exclusive jewellery collections. In this exciting role, you'll manage product assortments, handpick promotional pieces, and drive profitability with your sharp eye for trends and market demand. Working closely with our internal stakeholders, you'll ensure our collections shine both in-store and online. What will you do? Develop and manage a diverse product range to ensure alignment with company strategy, considering price, packaging, and market trends.Implement short- and long-term product and pricing strategies to meet financial objectives for each division and brand.Collaborate with the Marketing Department on packaging, displays, and promotional materials.Work closely with the CEO to shape category strategies, marketing plans, and team training initiatives.Source merchandise and negotiate terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and exclusivity.Analyse sales, margins, and stock levels to maintain efficient inventory management and profitability.Drive promotional product selection and ensure alignment with marketing strategies to maximize business success.Lead and support a team of Merchandise and Administration Assistants while maintaining regular communication with stores and Regional Managers.What skills and experience do you need? 2+ years' experience as a buyer in fashion and / or fine jewellery.Expertise in overseas product sourcing, design, development, and packaging.Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving desirable outcomes.Knowledge of promotional activities and their impact on sales.Advanced analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.Proven ability to plan, forecast, and manage stock requirements effectively.Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the largest jewellery retailer in Australia.
