Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is currently recruiting to our Psychology Casual Pool, to assist with positions throughout our district that covers from Lithgow/ Portland down to Penrith/ St Marys.
This position is open to Psychologists and Clinical Psychologists, who are available and looking for casual positions within NSW Health that will offer flexibility as well as a varied workload.
The Psychology service is part of the Allied Health Directorate. This position provides psychological services for NBMLHD across a variety of clinical settings.
This position is responsible for the provision of patient focussed Psychology services consistent with experience, skills, and qualifications. The Allied Health Short Term Staff Pool Psychologist contributes to the provision of flexible and consistent psychology services in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection criteria to be addressed:
1. Completion of appropriate tertiary psychology qualifications and current AHPRA registration as a psychologist. For clinical psychologists or forensic psychologists, completion of an accredited Master or Doctoral degree with endorsement or eligibility to progress to endorsement.
2. Demonstrated post graduate clinical experience in a health care setting
3. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
4. Ability to prioritise workloads, work independently, and within an inter-professional team environment
5. Demonstrated high level of organisation skills and time management skills
6. Record of ongoing professional development
7. Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel and/or Access)
