Status: Permanent, Full Time (1.0 FTE) Salary range: $113,185.72 to $119,530.50 per annum, dependent on skills, qualifications and experience Opportunity: The City of Albany’s Operations Team has an opportunity in a key leadership role. This role will see you responsible for leading and strategically managing the civil maintenance operations, with a focus on enhancing maintenance quality, implementing long-term asset management strategies, and driving team development to improve efficiency and service delivery. Reporting to the Manager of Operations this role is responsible for but not limited to: Providing high-level leadership and direction to maintenance teams. Preparing accurate preliminary and final project cost estimates on capital and maintenance projects, including projects to be constructed by external contractors. Providing reports to management and recommendations on project activities, technical suitability of procedures, processes and results. Undertaking pre-planning and integrate whole-of-organisation programming, including short to long-term work scheduling.
About You: Proven experience and practical knowledge of construction planning, asset management, and budget development with advanced leadership and team management abilities. To be successful you will possess the ability to think strategically, apply project and program management methodologies and build productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will also require:
* A degree qualification in civil engineering or construction management accompanied by relevant experience (Also considered, less formal qualifications, with extensive experience in leading construction projects.
* Minimum 6 years’ experience in a leadership position within civil construction or maintenance.
* Certificate IV in Project Management or Leadership and Management (or equivalent).
