About the role
We are seeking an experienced Training Superintendent to lead the site training team and oversee the training and competency needs of the project at Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex in the Bowen Basin.
Reporting to the Health, Safety, and Training Manager, you will be tasked with driving training strategies and initiatives that foster a culture of continuous improvement in training and competency throughout the project.
Key accountabilities:
* Actively mentor, coach, and inspire training team members to take ownership of health and safety practices and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in training.
* Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing employee development.
* Monitor, evaluate and report on training effectiveness and adapt where needed.
* Collaborate with mine site department Managers to identify training needs and goals.
* Drive strategic and cultural change whilst maintaining effective training records and documentation.
About You
* Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in a similar role.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in developing training materials and using training software.
* Ability to assess training needs and measure effectiveness.
* Knowledge of mining processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
* The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
Additionally, you should possess:
* Minimum of Certificate IV Training and Assessment, bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety (highly regarded) or related field.
* Extensive experience working in a Senior Training Coordinator or similar role with training processes and system support within a mining environment.
* Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations & guidelines, and standards.
