From our Cardiff depot, our in-house bakery supplies our 50+ lunch vans, servicing local suburbs around Newcastle, and Wetherill Park, with fresh and delicious pies, sausage rolls, cakes and slices on a daily basis.
As a passionate and experienced baker or pastry chef, join our team on a casual or permanent basis with full time, set hours, working Monday to Friday from 4am to 12pm or 5am to 1pm. No weekends or working on public holidays, and early finishes on a Friday are not uncommon! If you have the drive and passion, we have the opportunity for you.

Role tasks and opportunities:
Adhere to Safe Food Handling procedures/HACCP, leading by example with no exceptions, health and safety first!
Pastry sheeting experience ideal.
Operate bakery equipment - Sheeter, dough mixer, divider, ovens etc.
Preparation and weighing of ingredients, mixing, making and sheeting puff and shortcrust pastry.
Oven work and baking.
Understand and follow recipes to ensure products are made to the Tasty standard.
Set up and prepare for staff to arrive at 6am to ensure a smooth day of production.
Understand a production schedule.
Ability to guide staff with your knowledge.
Practicing cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
Maintaining and cleaning equipment and facilities.
The physical nature of the role requires bending, lifting, twisting, stretching and reaching forward on a frequent basis, with repetitive tasks also requiring the ability to stand in the one place for extended periods of time.
