UGL has current vacancies for a highly skilled and safety-focused E&I Operator Maintainers to join our Decommissioning team on one of our major O&G contracts offshore at Bass Strait, VIC.
In this role, the successful candidates will be responsible for providing end-to-end maintenance and service of the offshore platforms.
About the Role:
* Responsible for the safe operation, shutdown, and isolation requirements in the area of responsibility for all process and plant prior to, during, and post maintenance activities, including safely responding to emergency situations.
* Authorise and issue work permits within the assigned area and work with maintenance, projects, and other personnel to ensure the activities covered by the permit are undertaken in a safe manner.
* Carrying out de-commissioning checks and assisting in the final commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment as required.
* Hazardous Area visual and detailed inspections.
* Fault finding on complex electrical and instrumentation systems.
* LV/HV equipment maintenance.
* Operate, monitor and maintain equipment so that operating life is enhanced.
* Isolate and prepare equipment for preservation and ensure damage is avoided.
* Proven skill in diagnostic problem solving.
* Willingness to work autonomously and proactively whilst achieving team-based goals.
* Effective communication skills and ability to articulate technical and operational information.
About You:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in either a trade or operations role.
* Be willing to undertake training to learn both the operations role and any equipment specific to offshore facilities (e.g., Gas turbines, Power systems).
* Ability to work well in a team environment.
* Work to a high standard and be passionate about what you do.
* Previous experience in Preventative and corrective maintenance programs e.g., SAP, Maximo.
* Turbine/Generator experience (servicing/fault finding) advantageous.
* Ability to use procedures and interpret drawings.
